Movement Impair-ers, aka MI-ers, are a strange category of classes spanning over slowing, knockbacks and simply stopping mobs in their tracks. Almost every class have that abilities and using them smartly will help groups conquer heroics and raids.
There are many fights in Cataclysm that requires the use of MI ranging from Heroic Grim Batol's Faceless Ones to Blackwing Descent's Magmaw's worms.
Abilities will be classified as the following for easily reference: Slow (S), Stun (ST), Knockback (KB) and Root (R)
