Ever wonder what the different classes are capable of? When you need some dispelling, who can you count on to save your rear? When the tank "accidentally" pulled a Heroic thrash mob, who can help to keep them under control?

Know Your series will answer all your questions and more! Every week we'll take a look at a different aspect of gameplay be it crowd control or dispels. Hopefully this will help you be one step closer to mastering Cataclysm Heroics!

This week, let's analyze a very important role of healers and/or other dps classes in mitigating damages: The Remover.

True to its namesake, The Remover's role is to dispel every debuff afflicting the party/raid. While the role is fulfilled by every healer class in WotLK, Blizzard has taken jo----pain to make sure that each class can only remove a certain type of debuff.

Each class has been color coded to be more visible and are arranged according to type of debuff.

Everything - Mage (Self), Paladin (Self), Rogue (Self)

Curses - Druid, Mage, Shaman

Diseases - Paladin, Priest

Enrage - Hunter, Rogue

Fear - Feral Druid (Self), BM Hunter (Self),Priest, Shaman, Warrior (Self)

Magic (Enemy) - Hunter, Mage, Holy Paladin, Priest, Shaman

Magic (Allies) - Resto Druid, Priest, Shaman

Poison - Druid, Paladin

Movement Impairment - Paladin (Self and Allies), Mage (Self), Prot Warrior (Self), Fury Warrior (Self)

Stun - Mage (Self)

  1. Borgthor says:

Under removing fear, you might like to add Warriors (self) for their Berserker rage ability. It does have a 30 second cooldown, so isn't always available.

  2. Unknown says:

rogues can remove enrage with shiv. ergh i need to work on my thread :s

  3. Zeltan says:

Also add rogues to the 'Everything' category with cloak of shadows. No idea why im loving on rogues so much lately.
