Burnout: Warcraft

I thought it would never happen to me but it still did. Each time I log on, I find myself at loss what to do that day - Dailies, both dungeon and quest, bores me. I don't feel motivated to grind the various reps that I state in my resolution that I would farm. Even beta's hold on me is starting to wane since:

1 - It's just questing and more questing.

2 - DKs received extremely little changes.

3 - No content for beyond 83 for weeks.

4 - They deleted my wittle goblins, the bastards!

5 - Desire to reserve the "fresh" feeling for when Cataclysm hits the stores.

Fret not thou, you can still depend on me to dps since helping the guild progress has always been my passion (Next to pre-raid nude dancing and robbing unsuspecting mages of their biscuits) and that I've paid for 6 months of subscription >_<. Good news is when my current times expires, I'll finally be a free man.

Guess it's time to start doing other stuff: New blog layout is coming awesomely, it's the best one I've mashed yet. Play Bioshock and Portal, games which I've been itching to try but don't have the time for it due to WoW.

So, have you ever experienced a WoW Burnout? What did you do?

  1. I've had a bit of WoW burnout for a while now, and I'm now considering coming back soon (for Cataclysm, at least - probably before-hand though).

I think it's good to just do some different stuff once in a while; the things you've gotten tired of doing a hundred times aren't suddenly going to be exciting on the hundred-and-first time.

As for me, I've been spending my time mostly on playing Starcraft II and watching anime, which I've found to be a nice break. Hopefully, the next time I log on will keep me interested - it should also help that a fair few of my friends from RL have started playing recently :)
